1. 1. Chicago Bears – Caleb Williams QB USC

Obvious choice, nothing else to talk about.

  • 2. Washington Commanders – Drake Maye QB UNC

This pick could be Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels, but I believe in Maye’s potential to become great, even with the potential developmental risks.

  • 3. ***Trade*** Minnesota Vikings – Jayden Daniels QB LSU

The Vikings need their Quarterback of the future, with Justin Jefferson entering the end of his rookie deal, the Vikings must first make sure that they have a quarterback that can get him the ball to make sure he can live up to his next contract. The Vikings still have ammunition in this trade to move back into Round 1 while New England gets the haul to rebuild.

  • 4. Arizona Cardinals – Marvin Harrison Jr. WR Ohio ST.

The first non-QB is off the board and it’s none other than Marvin Harrison Jr., Maserati Marv is exactly the type of receiver the Cardinals and Kyler Murray need and have needed since Larry Fitzgerald’s retirement.

  • 5. ***TRADE*** Jacksonville Jaguars – Malik Nabers WR LSU

Jacksonville needs to start using draft capital in finding Trevor Lawrence long-term options at the playmaker positions, as they will won’t be able to continue the trend of short term, veteran options. This trade yields, 3rd round Value Plus the addition of a future first, not much to give up for a future #1 wide out and for the Los Angeles Chargers helps rebuild the offensive line and add some playmakers in the years to come.

  • 6. ***TRADE*** Denver Broncos – J.J. McCarthy QB Michigan

Sean Payton, and the Denver Broncos may need a quarterback more than any team in the NFL, primarily in the hopes of giving Payton a shot of keeping his job after the 2025 season if they don’t find a QB and at least show signs of being able to compete in the AFC West in the long-term. Hence the Broncos make a desperation move to come up and grab McCarthy instead of allowing the Giants to recycle 1st round quarterbacks without ever surrounding their 1st round quarterbacks with adequate weapons around him in the passing game to succeed.

  • 7. Tennessee Titans – Joe ALT OT Notre Dame

Not 100% sure what the Titans will do at 7, trading down I believe is an option however, their price is too high and other suitors have already pounced as a consolation the Tennessee Titans get the best TACKLE in the 2024 NFL draft.

  • 8. ***TRADE*** New England Patriots – Rome Odunze WR Washington

The Patriots pounce and grab one of a few elite players left in the NFL draft and the last of the trio of great receivers, New England needs dudes on both sides of the ball and their isn’t a safer higher upside prospect than receiver Rome Odunze. The Falcons need defensive players, none have been selected thus far, so they acquire a future first-round pick while still having options later that are probably high on their draft board.

  • 9. ***TRADE*** New England Patriots – Michael Penix QB Washington

The Patriots work the NFL draft in sensational manner in this 2024 mock, blocking out the Jets from acquiring Rome and keeping themselves in front of the Giants and Raiders to still get a top level QB, Penix had to play in a few tough weather, high wind games at Washington and he has shown in the time he can do the same playing in Foxborough in the future while throwing to his teammate at Washington Rome Odunze. Chicago gets blocked by the Patriots on Odunze but fall back and acquire a much-needed 3rd round pick, with only 3 picks remaining when they came up to draft at 9.

10. New York Jets – Brock Bowers TE Georgia

Best-Worse case scenario for the Jets, the top 3 receivers are gone, along with highest rated offensive lineman in Joe Alt, I could see the Jets falling back or taking a Dallas Turner or Jared Verse, however continuing to add weapons for Rodgers in the passing game is priority number one and worse case Bowers can be a safety net for the QB of the future in New York.

11. Chicago Bears – Dallas Turner EDGE Alabama

The Bears similar to the Houston Texans last season take a QB and an Alabama EDGE defender with their two first round picks, I do believe with the other moves Chicago has made this offseason the results in season could be similar to the Texans as well.

12. New York Giants – Brian Thomas Jr. WR LSU

The Giants, I strongly believe wanted McCarthy however made the right decision in passing on him to acquire more assets before drafting another QB, the Giants however need play makers in the passing game and the Giants fell to far back for the three top receivers and the best overall tight end in the draft. Result, reaching on the high upside of what Brian Thomas Jr can be. The Giants need a receiver and the receivers on day 2 are either too similar to receiver already on the roster or receivers they have already used high draft capital on that haven’t worked out very well.

13. Las Vegas Raiders- Quinyon Mitchell CB Toledo

Quinyon Mitchell just plays football like I imagine Antonio Pierce wants his defensive backs to play football, and Pierce couldn’t snag his mobile QB in the first round.

14. New Orleans Saints – JC Latham OT Alabama

The run of offensive lineman is about to go off any minute in the draft, and the Saints don’t reach on any of the playmakers but take the safe offensive lineman out of Alabama to protect Carr to allow him to make more plays to Olave and Rashid Shaheed.

15. Indianapolis Colts – Terrion Arnold CB Alabama

Arnold will come to the NFL making the most immediate impact of any of the other first round cornerbacks that will be taken in the 2024 NFL draft, and the Colts are in a position to pass on an offensive playmaker for Richardson as grabbing a reliable receiver later in the draft is much more likely than a potential game-changer at cornerback.

16. Seattle Seahawks – Byron Murphy DT Texas

The Seahawks get a menace in the middle of the defense, and a player Mike McDonald will love in his 1st year running the Seattle defense.

17. LA Chargers – Taliese Fuaga OT Oregon St.

Chargers want to improve their offensive line to establish the run game and protect their franchise signal-caller in Justin Herbert, they find their guy with Fuaga.

18. Cincinnati Bengals- Troy Fautanu OT Washington

The Bengals, seem like a wildcard as they could move up to add a playmaking tight end like Brock Bowers, or move back and take a reliable, slot type receiver like Ladd McConkey, however I think protecting and giving Burrow the proper protection to get the ball to his current wide receivers on the roster should be more of a priority.

 19. LA Rams – Chop Robinson EDGE Penn St.

The Rams take another freak like player for the front seven after losing Aaron Donald to off-season retirement, Robinson has an upside as high as any defensive end or edge defender in the class with great speed and burst, Robinson could pair well with Kobie Turner and Byron Young.

  •  20. Pittsburgh Steelers – Olumuyiwa Fashanu OT Penn St.

Back to Back Nittany Lions off the board with the Steelers taking Tackle Fashanu, the highest upside offensive lineman in the draft, while being the consensus 2nd overall offensive lineman on most consensus boards, the Steelers get a steal.

  •  21. Miami Dolphins – Laiatu Latu EDGE UCLA

Latu brings a power type pass rusher to Miami that it desperately needs, while being able to cover ground in pursuit for running backs and quarterback scrambles.

  •  22. ***TRADE*** Detroit Lions – Cooper DeJean CB/S Iowa

Cooper DeJean should be drafted much higher than this, even if he has to play safety or teams don’t know where he might fit, similar to the Honey Badger and Lions 2023 2nd Round pick Brian Branch, this dude just knows how to play football and would fit the culture Campbell and Co. are building in Detroit.

  •  23. Atlanta Falcons – Jared Verse EDGE Florida St.

The Falcons proved in this mock that trading back was the right move as they were still able to attain one of their top 12 players on their presumed big board.

  •  24. Dallas Cowboys – Amarius Mims OT Georgia

Dallas may have the urge to pull the trigger on AD Mitchell, Xavier Worthy, or McConkey but rebuilding the offensive line must be the priority in the 2024 draft.

  •  25. ***TRADE*** Washington Commanders – Jordan Morgan OT Arizona

The Packers now will have 6 picks on day 2 of the NFL draft, with plenty of options possibly falling to them such as Kris Jenkins, Darius Robinson, Braden Fiske, Ennis Rakestraw, Tyler Nubin, Cole Bishop to name a few. While the Commanders make a foolish move and reach for an Offensive Tackle, sacrificing other needs such as CB, Edge, and even Wide Receiver. This trade is fine in “draft capital” but when the Commanders are passing on possibly adding a McConkey, Troy Franklin or Ricky Pearsall possibly in round 2, they are also missing the chance on taking shots on Cole Bishop, TJ Tampa, and Ennis Rakestraw. There is a difference between Jordan Morgan and players like Suamataia from BYU, and Patrick Paul from Houston but that difference isn’t that far enough off to sacrifice the other positions of need.

  •  26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Kool-Aid McKinstry CB Alabama

Tampa Bay grabs the best name of the 2024 NFL draft and one of the top 5 defensive backs, of the 2024 NFL draft class, and the consensus number 1 before the season began.

  •  27. Arizona Cardinals – Jer’Zhan Newton DT Illinois

Newton is everything a team can ask for in an interior defender, burst, athleticism, strength, and a high motor.

  •  28. Buffalo Bills – Adonai Mitchell WR Texas

Buffalo, might make a move up to snag Brian Thomas Jr, however in this mock he goes to early for Buffalo to give up the capital to make the move for him and grab Texas wideout Adonai Mitchell.

  • 29. Philadelphia Eagles – Nate Wiggins CB Clemson

The Eagles traded back and ended taking the same player that they would have taken at 22 and were capable of adding additional draft value.

  • 30. Baltimore Ravens – Jackson Powers-Johnson C/OG Oregon

The Ravens similar to the Bills do not move up for a wide receiver, and don’t land one of their most highly valued offensive tackles, but they do land the highest rated interior lineman in the draft.

  •  31. San Francisco 49ers – TJ Tampa CB Iowa St.

San Francisco doesn’t make sexy picks, and this isn’t a sexy pick, however TJ Tampa fits with what the 49ers do, and fits a need.

  •  32. Kansas City Chiefs – Tyler Guyton OT KC

The Chiefs take an offensive tackle to ensure Mahomes’ gets the protection he needs, this pick could be a wide receiver, however I believe Reid would rather use a day 2 pick on that need.
